Feeling Unsure? Get a pen and make a Christmas List
With over 150 makers to discover, let us tempt you and give you the opportunity to drop some not-so-subtle hints about what you would like for Christmas.
To help you along, we have invited some of our friends to choose their 5 Favourites from our makers.
This week, we're delighted that writer and editor and purveyor of great taste, Natasha Goodfellow shares with you her 5 favourites from Digital Craft Festival.
Natasha is also curator of the Beautiful & Useful craft fair at the Garden Museum in Lambeth (4-6 December 2020) and author of A London Floral, on sale now.
Robyn Hardyman
I love the poise and restraint of Robyn’s elegant wheel-thrown porcelain vases, bowls, pourers and more. Her glazes are beautiful too: lustrous celadon, moody grey and the palest, blushing pink.
Jeff Josephine
There’s a ‘chipperness’ to Sophie Elm’s work that really appeals to me. Whether it’s pea pods parading on a pot, radishes ra-raing around a dish, or her colourful prints of flowers or seed packets, it always makes me smile.
Jessica Cutler
Handwoven in 100 per cent lambswool, Jessica’s scarves and cushions take the beautiful Devon countryside where she works as their inspiration. Her colour palette is interesting too: muted greys and charcoals with flashes of sand, coral and sky blue.
Clover Robin
I’ll never tire of Clover’s fabulous painted paper collages. We worked together on an illustrated map of London’s floral hotspots this year and I still can’t get over how she can take something so complex – be it a flower, a landscape or a building – and make it so simple and yet so true to itself.
Charlotte Miller
Ceramic budgies in beanie hats or sporting Bette Lynch up-dos and gold earrings? Glossy guinea-pig plant pots and trophy heads? I’ve no idea where Charlotte Miller gets the idea for her quirky pieces, but I know I love them, big time.
