Useful Information

Accessibility at The Festival

The Festival and all activities except the Craft Cinema are on level ground. There are 4 steps up to the cinema which is hosted in a 1967 Bedford Bus. There are no ramps or steps into the marquees. Entrance/exit points are protected with rubber matting.  (However it is worth bearing in mind that much of the festival is on grass which can get muddy in severe weather).

Parking on Mill Marsh Park is reserved for disabled badge holders and people of limited mobility only. Visitors may also be dropped opposite the ticket desks and given seating under cover until they are reunited with their driver.  Seating is available around the festival site.

Concession tickets are available for people registered as disabled, Senior Citizens and those in receipt of benefits. Carers are admitted free of charge. Guide & Hearing dogs may be taken into all parts of the festival.

Disabled toilets are provided.

Mobility Scooters

We are using the services of Newton Abbot Community Transport Association who will be supplying mobility scooters and wheelchairs to hire at the event. Advance bookings are advisable.  Advance Bookings  for mobility scooters and wheelchairs can be taken from 22nd May 2023 - Please email shopmo@newtonabbotcta.org or telephone 01626 335775 to be sure of assistance.

Sustainability and Enviromental Impact

We work closely with our waste management partner, Devon Contract Waste whose policy is that no waste goes to landfill under their Zero to Landfill policy. We are reducing our environmental impact by recycling all our waste. We want to take further steps in reducing the amount of waste that goes to be recycled.

We insist that all food is served using compostable plates, cups and cutlery. All single use plastic are banned.

Free drinking water is available at the Water Station behind the Devon Contract Waste Recycling Point. Please bring your own water bottles to fill up. Water (or any other drink) in plastic bottles will not be for sale at the Festival. We want to eliminate plastic bottles from the Festival.

Dogs at Craft Festival

We warmly welcome dogs at the Craft Festival, but only guide and hearing dogs may enter the marquees.

Mobile and Wifi at The Festival

There is good mobile signal across most mobile providers at Mill Marsh Park, please check your provider. There is limited 3G & 4G coverage and varies between providers. Please enquire with your supplier and the nearest postcode is TQ13 9AL.
